After Alex Pastor's victory in the 2013 PKRA World Cup, Airush Livewire has firmly established itself as an icon among freestyle boards. The Livewire features a unique dual rocker combination with flatter board ends for better windward carving and more speed, as well as increased midsection camber for soft landings after high-end tricks. In addition, the board is now equipped with the exclusive super durable Grindrite coating for gliding over the figures.

Major changes in 2015:

  • Variable bottom rocker and deep channels
  • New super-durable Grindrite bottom coating for gliding over shapes
  • Improved torsional rigidity Carbon Torsion Control
  • Small fins for the perfect combination of grip and control at high speeds
  • Two-year warranty
  • Metric threads in embeds
  • Updated AFT Strap System included

Technologies:

GRINDRITE BASE< /strong>

Renewed Grindrite flooring on the bottom of the board provides better gliding over the figures and reliable protection of the board. This coating is well-deservedly popular among manufacturers of ski equipment due to its reliability and quality.

CARBON TORSION CONTROL

Airush Torsion Control is specifically designed to improve the board's freeride performance. The classic downside of soft freeride boards is that they are too soft under torsional loads. Bi-directional carbon fiber reinforcements on the trailing edge of the board increase torsional stability??u in this area, which provides greater control and directional stability.

BIOTECH CORE< /strong>

The core of the Airush Multizone Biotech boards is assembled from two types of wood of different densities: vertically split poplar and balsa, combined with reinforced ABS plastic edges. A denser poplar stringer gives the board greater responsiveness, while balsa outers reduce weight. Our wood core boards are renowned for their responsiveness, durability and softness. Tri-directional fiberglass laminate provides excellent handling in all conditions and unrivaled operational reliability.

FMS RAITING< /strong>

Six years ago, Airush first introduced the FMS RAITING Board Stiffness Rating System, which accurately assesses board elasticity instead of the good old "feel" rating. The FMS rating represents how much a board flexes based on length and load. Lower values ??correspond to softer boards. Soft boards are more suitable for freeriding, while hard boards are more suitable for freestyle.

PROGRESSIVE DUAL ROCKER

Smaller board sizes feature a slightly flatter rocker for more speed, while larger sizes are more curved for booted riding. The outer area of ??the board is flatter for better sidecut and course control. And the central part of the board is more curved due to the channels, which improves repulsion and landing.

Subtleties:

Choosing the correct board size and stance width is essential to your riding. So if you ride with boots most of the time, we recommend that you choose a board one size larger than usual. For example: if you usually use a 135cm board, it is better to use 138cm for skiing with boots. This allows you to achieve better performance when pushing off, landing and walking into the wind. Choosing the right stance width is just as important as choosing the right board size. Bindings should be set slightly wider than shoulder width. For a more aggressive style of riding, a wide stance is better.
