American pro surfer Taylor Knox has been with the Carver team for nearly a decade and during his tenure we have created numerous board models for him. His most popular to date was the Fort Knox, a mid-sized soundboard with a wider nose. All co-designed with Taylor in a spirited carving style, so we made a few adjustments and added a quarter inch of length to this author's model and lengthened the wheelbase by 3/4 inch. These subtle changes made the board a bit faster. Due to the added length, Taylor adjusted the stance to further match his surf posture. This is important when using a surfboard on dry land as it builds correct foot placement habits and proper muscle memory. We then trimmed the tail to give the board a more classic look. Finally, we've retained the winged theme for its graphics, as well as Taylor's favorite Colors of blue and black, creating the new Knox with Taylor's classic vibe.
