The pit stop kit is what you need to quickly set up your board and get it ready to ride

The Pit Stop kit includes:

F-1 All-Temp Rub-On Wax 85g, ceramic stone, brand case, edge cutter, screwdriver and full instructions.

Instructions for applying wax:

  1. Dry basis
  2. At room temperature (easier to apply)
  3. Wear gloves for protection
  4. Rub the wax into the base with pressure. Apply to full coverage
  5. Use a plug to buff the wax into the base
  6. Lightly brush or buff to remove excess wax

Instructions for ironing:

  1. Select the correct temperature wax by checking the mountain conditions/snow report... (actual snow temperature, not air temperature).
  2. Heat the iron and bring the wax to the metal base, then spread small drops of wax all over the base. DO NOT ALLOW THE IRON TO OVERHEAT THE BOARD BASE!
  3. Holding the iron in your hands, slowly pull the iron over the wax drops, smoothing them into a wax sheet that covers the entire base from tail to tail.
  4. Let the wax cool for 10-15 minutes, then scrape it off with a plastic scraper. DO NOT use a steel scraper.
  5. Using a wax brush or fiber pad, remove excess wax from the base, tail to tail. This allows your base to slide quickly.

Setup instructions:

  1. Place the board or skis in a vise to secure and clean the base with fresh hot wax and scrape or use ONE MFG Base Cleaner.
  2. Check the edging for burrs. Abrade the area with a ceramic, diamond, or rubber stone to remove burrs in preparation for shaping the edge.
  3. Use the ONE MFG Edge Tool to sharpen the edge. Start at the tail and gently pull with firm pressure towards the tail. Do this in smooth strokes until the edges are sharp. Repeat on the other side. Remember to turn the file over so the teeth are facing the correct direction...look for the arrow on it.
  4. If you want your board or skis to be tailless, then adjust them with a burr stone to round them out. Start at the edges where they bend towards the tail and nose and file approx. 1.5 inches past the point of contact with the edge when your base is lying flat.
  5. For really sharp edges, take a fine diamond stone or polishing stone and go over the edge again using the same technique.
  6. If you like to slide on railings and boxes, do not sharpen the edges
  7. Keep your bevel cutter clean with a brush!

Enjoy the speed!
